Each blister packet includes 10 tablets. Each tablet is scored to easily break into four pieces, each will set approximately 3-4 gallons of milk.

Marschall Microbial coagulant from Rhizomucor miehei.   2250 IMCU/tablet

Free of Gluten, wheat flour, animal by-products;does not contain calcium chloride.

This rennet is acceptable for the production of vegetarian cheeses. Vegan friendly.

Usage: One tablet for 13 gallons (50 liters) of milk. Tablets are scored & easy to break into 1/4 size.  Dissolve in a little water and add to milk after 20 minutes. 1/4 tablet for milk under 4 gallons(15 liters).

    I use Marschall Rennet Tablets in the process of making cottage cheese to coagulate raw milk. I use 1-to 2 tablets to coagulate 5-6 gallons of milk. It takes approximately 1-2 hours to achieve total coagulation. The rennet tablets have always performed well. I have used these tablets for approximately 10 years and have never been disappointed.

    These are the best tablets for making cheese. I have tried other brands, but my cheese won't set up as well.

    It arrive super fast, highly recommended, excellent product, for a gallon of milk you only need a quarter of the pill. I love it is my first time making cheese.

    It work great, and taste great too. The only thing is that after 2 weeks the cheese got a bitter taste. Note from Steve/TheCheeseMaker: bitterness can arise from lipase in raw milk. Microbial coagulants are best for fresh cheeses or cheeses that don't need long aging, though some longer aged cheese do well when this type of coagulant is used. I recommend using a 100% Chymosin or Veal rennet for cheeses that need to be aged longer than a month.

    I used 1 tablet for 1 gallon on raw milk. It worked real good. Is that too much?. We were making OSTA-Kakka. Note from Steve,thecheesemaker.com: The correct usage rate is one tablet for 12-13 gallons of milk, but you can use a small amount more if the milk is pasteurized and or homogenized.
