    Bulgarian yogurt culture

Posted by Kay on 17th Oct 2022

If you like tart and tangy yogurt like I do then you will love this yogurt culture. I was buying my Bulgarian yogurt prior to COVID, but I can no longer get it due to supply issues. The Yogotherm culture is so close to the taste and texture of my previous brand you would think it is the same yogurt. I am a frequent buyer and highly recommend it. Kay

Thank goodness for this product. I've been using this product for years and am completely satisfied. I actually use 1/2 of the package per 7 cup batch of yogurt. I scrape a vanilla bean into the mixture before covering the mixture before process

I've been using this product for years and am completely satisfied. I actually use 1/2 of the package per 7 cup batch of yogurt. I scrape a vanilla bean into the mixture before covering the mixture before process. Happy to help. Note from Steve/TheCheeseMaker: You can even use an 8th of the packet for a two liter batch. Just allow the ferment to go 8-10 hours.

Exactly what I was looking for

Posted by Camryn on 20th May 2019

Good flavor with some tang without being too aggressive for those in my household who prefer mild yogurts. The consistency I got is also great. Creamy, but quite liquidy. I imagine it would strain off nicely if you wanted a thicker yogurt. If I ever need to repurchase a starter culture, I'll defintely buy this again!

    Easy and Tasty

Posted by Carole A on 12th Aug 2018

I had been wanting to try to make my own yogurt for awhile, but was a little nervous about doing it. The starter I purchased made a delicious, creamy yogurt and the process was very easy!

Tasty yogurt, recultured 3x so far

Posted by BHealthy on 10th Jul 2016

This made a creamy slightly acidic yogurt that I have re-cultured 3 times so far. I wish I knew how much the bacteria multiply each time you use them. For instance, one capsule can contain up to 10billion organisms. How much yogurt do I need to eat to equal one capsule?
